Is it okay for beginners to play on the golf course or is that not a good idea?

I’m not really good and I slice a lot top a lot etc. But I can hit the ball well just not consistently. So would I cause problems if I were to play on the course? I’m considering getting a club membership and I might as well use the course and not just the driving range.

Very good idea because no one ever stepped on a golf course that was an experienced golfer.. We forget that in the beginning we had to learn to strike the ball and practice on the range does not sub for playing on any course. Beginning golfers drive the game because thru their addition the sport will always go on an become stronger. I say "GO PLAY AND FIRE AWAY’.
